smart women logo finalSmart Women is a strategic partnership among seven European organizations – Malta Communications Authority, Fundacion Dedalo (Spain), Cyprus Computer Society, Association “Langas į ateitį” (Lithuania), Telecentre Europe (Belgium), EOS Romania and LIKTA (Latvia), and focuses on activating women in e-commerce. The project will last for two years (2017-2018) and is co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme.

Smart Women project aims to design and deliver a training programme specialising in Entrepreneurship and eCommerce, providing females the necessary tools to transform a business idea into a successful enterprise. The target group is inactive females who would like to:

  • Increase their knowledge on the importance of e-commerce in today’s competitive environment;
  • Have an opportunity to access a range of resources and tools specially made for women entrepreneurs who would like to start business or have recently started business.

During the project, the online course will be developed to increase the knowledge and competences of female entrepreneurs who are still starting up in the area of electronic commerce and business, and thus improve the employment prospects or business opportunities for the participants. The virtual learning environment will also be introduced to facilitate the future participation as well as accessibility for participants across Europe with different needs.
